Void
In making Void I was preoccupied by two ideas: The threshold as a metaphor as well as a physical reality and the impending possibility of an AI singularity, a point in time in which artificial intelligence surpasses human intelligence.
To me the singularity seems somewhat unfathomable but leaves me with a feeling that once it's reached we'll pass through into a period of human history unlike anything that has gone before.
Void will premiere later this year at Waterside, an arts venue in Sale, Trafford, as part of their Screenlight Micro Commissions project.
